Many years ago while wandering the streets of Köln, Germany after a show with Souls of Mischief. I met a dude who would become a good friend by the name of Niven. During that brief meeting he mentioned that I should do a show in Rotterdam, and I jokingly replied to him that he should set it up. A year later he made it happen. During that tour my former group performed shows and even recorded some songs in a building that was being used by sqautters. It was crazy, a dude brought over his entire studio to make the session happen. This was before laptop studios hit the scene, so it was a big deal. Years later when I was back in Holland for the Black Amnesia project, I kept hearing about a rapper, producer, actor, singer named GMB. I was told he was dope, but was too busy to make it to the studio. Until one day he finally shows up, however with no intentions of recording. After some small talk, we both realized that he was the same guy who brought his studio over to record the session years before. Once that was established he wrote and sung the hook for this song. I love it when a plan comes together.
